Davis Engineering & Surveying, LLC (DES) provides the following environmental consulting services, including National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) & Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, for homebuilders, developers, contractors, consultants, and others in the construction industry.  Our projects have included residential, commercial, industrial, utility, pipeline, and retail developments throughout the Southeast.

Notice of Intent (NOI) & Notice of Termination (NOT)

The Notice of Intent, or NOI, is required to be submitted 14 days prior to land disturbance, and will require that the proper land disturbance fees are paid prior to construction.  As your consultant, DES will fill out the Notice of Intent paperwork required to get your project up and running in a timely manner.  We also take time to fully educate you or your staff to ensure that you have a complete understanding of the requirements and responsibilities involving the NOI.  Once your project has been successfully completed, DES will file the Notice of Termination, or NOT, paperwork to terminate your project.

NPDES | SWPPP Inspections

With the understanding that no two projects have exactly the same needs, DES offers several inspection packages that will allow our clients to choose the option that best suits them and their project.  According to regulations, a project site requires the following inspections, and DES offers these services that can be chosen individually, or combined to create a custom inspection package for your project:

  • Daily Inspections of Construction Exits, Fuel Storage Areas, and Rainfall Data
  • Weekly Inspections of the site to ensure compliance with Erosion Control Documents, both for installation and maintenance.
  • Post-Rainfall Inspections of the entire site upon each "qualifying rain event," which is a rain event of 0.5" or more.

Regardless of the package that you choose, all of our inspections will be performed in accordance with all corresponding governing requirements and a report will be left in the project box once the inspection is complete. Once per month, DES will send you copies of all of your inspection reports and rainfall data for the month.  Please contact us for a quote, as we provide project-specific pricing for these services.
