Level 4 Soil Survey

A level 4 soil report is a high-density soil study performed when a level 3 soil report reveals limiting conditions, unsuitable soils, rock, or water tables. The level 4 study provides more detail to septic designers to ensure septic will work on a difficult property.

Service includes site visit where our team will use a hand auger to bore 4 or more holes ± 72” deep and/or use of an excavator to extend beyond the 72” depth.  The soil retrieved is evaluated by a soil scientist, classified to determine absorption rates, and the absorption rates determine the suitability of the soil, which will be detailed in a report of our findings.
