Soils & Environmental
This field is truly a blend of science and art! Our team has over 50 years of experience and works diligently to deliver a completed report no more than 2-3 weeks from authorization to proceed, allowing you to get answers before your due diligence period ends.
Level 4 Soil Survey
A level 4 soil survey is performed to determine the suitability of soil for an on-site septic system and/or determine the approximate depth of rock or water tables.
Level 3 Soil Survey
Often referred to as a “Perc Test”, a level 3 soil survey is performed to determine the suitability of soil for an on-site septic system and/or determine the approximate depth of rock or water tables.
Level 2 Soil Survey
A level 2 study is very similar to a level 1, and includes a site visit and hand auger borings, if necessary.
Level 1 Soil Study
A level 1 study utilizes our team’s vast knowledge and experience of our area, available topographic contour data, and county records to establish a preliminary evaluation of soil conditions.
Infiltration Testing
Infiltration testing is used to predict erosion impact and overall soil health in the event of a major stormwater event.
Test Pit Evaluation
A test pit evaluation is typically required on properties that have historically received fill soil or removal of high volumes of soil (cut/fill).
Environmental Site Assessment
An environmental site assessment may be required prior to purchase or financing of a property to ensure there are no contaminants or hazardous conditions that would require costly clean up.
